Arrival
At Sofia airport you have a short bus transfer from your aircraft to the Arrivals Hall where you pass through Immigration and then Baggage Collection and Customs. To your left, after passing through the Customs area, there are toilets (down a flight of stairs) and a snack bar.

Duty Free Shop
In the baggage collection area you will find a Duty Free shop where payment can be made in most major currencies, and prices are usually substantially lower than at equivalent EU airport shops.

Money Exchange
Avoid changing money in the Money Exchanges at the airport, as the rates are much less favourable than compared to City Center exchanges and Banks.

Taxis
All legal taxis are yellow, operate by meter, and rates and any call out charges, etc., must be displayed on the windows. Be aware that in some instances you may be charged for your luggage if it is excessive!
A Taxi can be ordered at the Taxi office in the Arrivals area, to your right at the rear after passing through Customs. You will be provided with a three-digit number of the Taxi that will collect you. The cost for such a Taxi from the airport to the City Center is approximately 5 Leva.Taxis to the city center offered by drivers at the airport Arrival hall can cost as much as 20 Leva. However, it is acceptable to negotiate the price before accepting the Taxi and 10 Leva is a reasonable price.

PLOVDIV
Plovdiv is a small regional airport, and consequently relatively few facilities are available here!
